Terms and Conditions

 

Please read these terms of sale carefully before placing your order and retain a copy of these terms and your order for future reference. By placing an order with Affordable PC Services you agree to these terms.

 

Business Description

Affordable PC Services (APCS) is the retail trading business of Zone IT Services Ltd whose registered office is 48 Tintern Road, Birmingham, B20 3HJ.  APCS main business activities are in the supply of Computer related services including repairs, upgrades and installations.  APCS may also supply hardware and software in accordance with any of the mentioned services.  For more information on our company, please visit our About us page

 

Privacy

Personal Information, APCS only collects the personal information that is necessary to provide the information or services requested by an individual.  "Personal information" refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual who is the subject of the information.  This can include Names, Addresses and Email Addresses.

 

All personal information is held within a secure password protected database and is backed up securely.  This information, is not sold or shared with any other parties under any circumstances.  We will from time to time, we will (via email) notify customers of any special offers and there is an option of 'opting' out from this using the options in the email.  For any errors or omissions in the data held, customers can contact us via any methods as listed on the Contact us page.

 

Any financial information including Credit/Debit/Banking Details are not collected or stored by APCS as this information is processed securely through the online payment merchant.

 

Returns

To return any item, the customer must contact us via any of the methods listed on our Contact us page, they will be issued with a Returns Number which must be clearly marked on the packing label and then return to the address that will be given. 

 

Any hardware or software item found to be defective will be exchanged for another.  The buyer must return the original item in its original packaging and send this via a trackable service and insured to the appropriate value of the item.  Upon receipt, we shall inspect the item and if faulty as described by the customer, a full refund or exchange will be offered to the customer otherwise a restocking fee of 10% minus the original postage paid will be refunded back to the customer.

 

Refunds

Any hardware or software item found to be defective will be exchanged for another.  The buyer must return the original item in its original packaging and send this via a trackable service and insured to the appropriate value of the good item.  Upon receipt, we shall inspect the item and if faulty as described by the customer, a full refund or exchange will be offered to the customer.  If a non faulty item is returned, a restocking fee of 10% minus the original postage paid will be refunded back to the customer.

 

Cancellation

Any cancellations for goods must be communicated to us with 7 working days upon which the Returns process above will apply.  If this is for specialist customised build for example a PC, Server etc, then a restocking fee of 25% will apply as these systems will not be returnable to our our manufacturers and instead will have to be resold on a ex-demonstration basis. 

 

Delivery

Most of the services provided by APCs do not involve the posting of hardware/software in an e-commerce manner however, any products that are applicable for delivery and if the value is under £30, will be despatched via Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded.  Goods over the value of £30 but not exceeding £150 will be sent using Parcel Force 24/48 all other items valued from £150-£500 will be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery.  Exact prices will depend on weight and size of parcel/packet but this will be confirmed with the customer prior to payment being taken and in full agreement.  All prices are quoted within the UK Mainland only.  Typical timeframes for the above services include:

  • Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded 1-2 Working Days

  • Parcel Force 24 - 24 Hours

  • Royal Mail Special Delivery - Next Day by 1pm

Warranty on Services

We provide as standard a 30 Day Warranty on all services that we provide.  Any equipment or hardware that is supplied will be subject to the relevant manufacturers warranties which could be 90 Days, 12 Months or 36 Months.  However, these will be clarified at the time of purchase.

 

All services are provided as a 'no fix, no fee' basis meaning that if we cannot fix/repair the stated item, we will provide a refund of any deposits that have been paid by the customer.
